Hi, I'm Jenn, and I'm a Clinical Psychologist.
How I work and my values
It is important for me to provide a safe and non-judgemental space for you, by being warm, curious and compassionate. I aim to meet you where you are, and for us to take steps together in figuring out what works best for you and your individual circumstances. I believe in building on your resilience to cope with challenges, and helping you to make changes and live a life that is meaningful and fulfilling.
I believe in acknowledging and working with difficulties that can arise from social and cultural differences. I also strongly believe in celebrating and building on the strengths that come from diversity.
Ways I work
I trained at UCL and currently work in the NHS. I tend to work integratively, meaning I choose the model depending on what you might find most helpful. I am trained in a range of therapeutic models, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Systemic approaches.
I have worked with people experiencing a range of difficulties, such as low mood, anxiety, stress, distressing emotions and self-harm, and adjusting to adverse life events. In my NHS work, I specialise in supporting people living with physical health conditions and persistent physical symptoms to overcome difficulties and achieve their goals.
What do I enjoy outside of psychology?
Outside of work, I spend time cultivating my green thumb and enjoy feeling calm and relaxed in nature. I also love to spend time with my friends and family.
