Hi! I’m Manjit and I'm a Systemic and Family Psychotherapist.
Can you tell me a bit about you?
I have been working with children and adults for over 15 years. I now work for the NHS in complex mental health and in private practice. I have a master’s in forensic psychology and later returned to education to train as a Psychotherapist with King's College London and the Institute of Family Therapy.
I first started working with young people on the periphery of exclusion which led to varying roles within gang’s projects, and schools. I have extensive group work experience with men in the prison service and in substance misuse programmes with parents and their children.
My work with families has been varied including couple relationships, siblings, separation, and adoption. I have since worked with individuals with learning difficulties and autism and those living with trauma and neurological difficulties. I am interested in how families and individuals make sense of their worlds and in our work together, I will encourage you to explore the origins and beliefs that shape who you are today.
As a South Asian woman, I tune in to experiences of difference, and use my intuitive sense to guide families and individuals through some of life’s problems. Working systemically, I am drawn to how we construct problems, if something feels stuck or reoccurring, I can help you to think about this from multiple perspectives, to help find growth.
My passions include holistic forms of healing such as reiki, meditation, and energy work. I am part of a healing hub where like-minded individuals meet to shift and grow. I like to build and make things and may have one too many plants.
