Background information:
I’m a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have been working in the NHS since 2018. Over the years, I’ve worked with people across the lifespan in both mental and physical health settings.
I’ve supported individuals experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including:
- Anxiety and depression
- Self-esteem and confidence issues
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Attachment difficulties and relational trauma
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Psychosis
- Chronic pain
- Living well with long-term health conditions
Alongside my work at The Little Bee Clinic and The Oak Tree Practice, I work within the NHS in a Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team. In this role, I support women, birthing people, and their families who are experiencing mental health difficulties or challenges in the parent-infant relationship within the perinatal period.
I’m passionate about women’s health and have conducted research exploring the experiences of minoritised individuals during the perinatal period.
Meeting Lucy:
Starting therapy can feel daunting, and I understand what a brave step it is to begin this process. I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space where we can explore what’s bringing you to therapy, including any feelings ‘stuck-ness’ or overwhelm that you may be experiencing.
We’ll work together to set meaningful therapy goals, and I’ll regularly check-in with you throughout the process to ensure the therapy is helpful and aligned with your needs.
Interests outside of psychology:
I’m a big advocate for the mind-body connection and holistic wellbeing. To keep myself grounded and well, I enjoy training at the gym, running, and spending time in nature whenever I can. I also love cooking and trying new food- Mexican cuisine is my favourite!
