Background information:
I’m a Clinical Psychologist with experience working across a range of services with people at different stages of life. Over the years, I’ve supported individuals and families presenting with everything from acute periods of distress and crisis, through to longer-standing difficulties that can quietly shape day-to-day life for years. I’ve worked in both NHS and private settings, and I’m used to adapting my approach depending on the person in front of me, their goals, and what they feel ready for.
Alongside clinical practice, I’ve completed doctoral-level training and have a particular interest in neurodevelopmental presentations (including ADHD and autism) and how people make sense of themselves when life has felt overwhelming, stuck, or dominated by stress and self-criticism. I’m especially drawn to work that helps people regain agency and build a steadier relationship with their own mind.
Meeting Yoni:
For me, therapy works best when it feels like a real human relationship – professional, boundaried, and psychologically informed, but also warm and collaborative. My first priority is to help you feel safe enough to be honest (including about the parts you don’t usually say out loud).
We’ll go at a pace that’s manageable, and we’ll make sense of what’s going on together rather than me “doing therapy to you.” I’ll bring compassion and steadiness, but I’m also not afraid to be direct when something matters in a way that’s respectful. The aim is always to help you understand yourself better and leave sessions with something useful to take into real life.
Difficulties Yoni helps with:
I commonly support people with difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, stress and burnout, low self-esteem, relationship and attachment difficulties, emotional regulation (including anger), OCD-type patterns, the impact of trauma, and challenges linked to neurodiversity (e.g., ADHD/autism-related overwhelm, masking, shame, and identity).
I appreciate that people often come to therapy wanting something that actually fits – not a generic, one-size approach. My job is to help us find what works for you, and to keep checking that what we’re doing is genuinely helping.
Interests outside of psychology:
Outside work, I’m very into tech and DIY projects (including 3D printing), gaming, and anything that lets my brain go full nerd in a satisfying way. I also love comedy, a good bingeable series/anime, and getting away when I can. And yes, I’m one of those people who’s slightly obsessed with their cat.
